Alliance Biblique Française

Working closely with prison chaplaincies (Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox), Alliance Biblique Française has distributed more than 23,000 French-language Bibles to prisoners. However, chaplains have noticed that more and more prisoners would like to read the Bible in their mother tongue.

A fundraising evening to support 6 missionary projects!

    Six evangelism organisations from France and London have decided to join forces to organise a major fundraising evening to present missionary projects to donors. This is an opportunity to provide practical support to those working for evangelism.

  • Why London ?

    • Over 300,000 French people live in London

    • A religious, political and economic centre

    • A breeding ground for missionary and ecumenical work

  • 3 minutes to convince

    Each association has three minutes to present its project. A live fundraising campaign then takes place to support the project presented. With donation levels ranging from £5,000 down to the smallest donation, every donation counts!

    We have answered your most frequently asked questions

    Is there an admission charge for the evening?

    No, access to London for the Mission is free of charge.

    When you register, you will be asked to make a pledge. This is a moral commitment between you and yourself. Every donation counts!

    How does the evening unfold?

    Each association has three minutes to convince the donors in attendance, who have come together with the desire to support projects that serve evangelism.

    After each pitch, a live fundraising round takes place to support the project presented. With donation levels ranging from £5,000 down to the smallest donation, every donation counts!

    Is it possible to benefit from GiftAid?

    Yes, some charities allow you to benefit from 25% GiftAid. To do so, you must pay income tax in England. The specific rules will be explained during the evening.

    Is it possible to obtain tax relief in France?

    Yes, certain associations are eligible for tax relief in France if you are liable for income tax, corporation tax or property wealth tax. The specific rules will be explained during the evening.

    Who is producing the event?

    The event is being produced by Obole, with the help of a London-based steering committee made up of around ten volunteers who are keen to support the Mission!
